FHMS Band News - 12/10/2012

 

·          Honor Band / Percussion Class rehearsal after school today from 3:45 – 5pm  TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

·         Symphonic Band / Percussion Class rehearsal after school on Tuesday from 3:45-5pm

·         Honor Band / Percussion Class rehearsal after school on Wednesday from 3:45 – 5pm

·         PIZZA PARTY after school on Tuesday for Honor Band Flutes / Oboes 3:45 – 4:15pm

·         Wind Ensemble has regular sectionals this week

 

WINTER CONCERT………………Monday, December 17^th.  The concert will begin at 7:30pm.  Students should arrive by 7pm.

Students will wear their full concert uniform (all black – head to toe)  The concert will take place at Fossil Ridge High School

·         Winter Tour for Wind Ensemble is this Friday……………….December 14^th and next Tuesday…………………December 18^th – during the school day.  Please avoid doctor and dentist appointments on these two days.

I only have one parent signed up to go on the WIND ENSEMBLE winter tour .  I need 3 for each day.  Please email me if you are available.  We will be unable to go, if we don’t have the correct number of chaperones that the school requires.

 ·         Practice Charts will not be assigned this week or next week – we will resume them in January 2013

·         Jazz Band rehearses – this Thursday, December 13^th from 3:45pm – 5:00pm

·         We still have the following items for sale:  water bottles $5.00, lanyards $3.00, and Cinch sacks $8.00 

·         UIL for Honor Band / Symphonic Band – March 4^th

·         UIL for Wind Ensemble – March 5^th

·         Jazz Band Contest – March 2^nd

 

NO SECTIONALS next week – December 17,18, or 19
