Band Newsletter 10.29.2012

1.        There will only be sectionals on Monday of this week, due to several other events that we are involved in.  There will be no sectionals on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

2.       Make sure that you have added our two new football games to your calendar.  They are October 30^th (tomorrow) and November 5^th.  Percussion class will play from 4:45 – 5:45pm.  Symphonic/ Honor / Wind Ensemble will play from 5:45 – 7:30pm.  Students will wear their FHMS Band t-shirts and blue jeans or blue jean shorts.  These football games will take place at FHMS.  Students can bring money for concessions.  They can have time at the concession stand from 5-5:30 or from 7:30 – 7:45pm.

3.       All Region Try-Outs are November 3^rd at Indian Springs. SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  For those involved.

4.       Practice Charts are due each week.

5.       Don’t forget to send in your donations for the “GOODIE BAGS”

6.       SPECIAL THANKS to:  Mrs. Griffin, Mrs. Cabrera, and Mrs. Yarborough for your help in the office this past week.

 

 

Fundraiser items have been delivered.  Students are getting their water bottles, lanyards and t-shirts this week.

FHMS Band News - 10/22/2012

1.        We are extremely proud of all of our students that auditioned for the KISD Honor Band.  We had 23 students selected for the band!

2.       Make sure that you have added our two new football games to your calendar.  They are October 30^th and November 5^th.  Percussion class will play from 4:45 – 5:45pm.  Symphonic/ Honor / Wind Ensemble will play from 5:45 – 7:30pm.  Students will wear their FHMS Band t-shirts and blue jeans or blue jean shorts.  These football games will take place at FHMS.

3.       The students chosen for the KISD Honor Band will have an all-day rehearsal and a concert on November 1^st.  It will be held at Fossil Ridge  High School.  The students were given a letter in regards to this today and their music for the clinic/concert.  Students will wear ALL BLACK to the concert (nice dress clothes)
