The Fossil Hill Band by Bhabika
The Fossil Hill Band
Band is something valuable that can teach us all a lesson. For example, band teaches you on how to act properly and sit properly and play properly. But the greatest thing about band? All the fun involved! My name is Bhabika and I’ve been playing my instrument for over a year. The directors for FHMS band and Chisholm Trail band have made us all practice, and it has paid off! I’ve gotten notes out that I couldn’t even believe I could! At first everything seemed hard and no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get some things straight(especially those high notes), but practicing either half an hour, forty-five minutes, or even an hour sometimes really influenced me where I believed in myself to play whatever was in front of me. Sure we have to memorize a lot of things, and you may also have other schoolwork to do, but if you’re committed to making a difference in band, you REALLY can do it! And you wouldn’t believe all the fun! We have tons of football games that we get to
play at and at a pep rally, and of course who could forget some of those challenging concerts and contests? Everyone gets a laugh when we announce the paper plate winners, with various stuff that describes a lot of people, but we also congratulate those who win for playing their best. Mr. Boyd, Mrs. Bullock, and Mrs. Janeski are extra nice and have decided than one student gets a HUMONGOUS prize at the end of the school year! I’ve also made lots of friends from band. A lot of the band students are sincere and kind and there are some excellent players, too! All things considered, band is an experience of a lifetime.
