There are weekly sectionals for all students this week.

WINTER CONCERT

Symphonic Band arrives at 6:30pm
Honor Band arrives at 6:45pm
Wind Ensemble arrives at 6:45pm

Students will wear solid black dress clothes – NO TENNIS SHOES – This is a formal concert.


WINTER TOUR for Wind Ensemble
For elementary / intermediate school
December 8 and 9
(please avoid Dr. appointments on these days)

If you can volunteer to help with our winter tour, I will need 3 parents for each day.

Schedule for Wind Ensemble Winter Tour- December 8th

December 8th CTIS Concert 8:30 am – 5th grade
December 8th CTIS Concert 9:30am – 6th grade
***Please drop your child off at CTIS on Thursday morning by 8am, in their black concert dress uniform. Students will be allowed to wear Santa hats and they will be allowed to
decorate their instruments for the concerts.

Return back to school from 10:30 – 11:30 (eat “A” lunch) on KISD school bus
December 8th N. Riverside Concert 12:30pm – entire school
Load buses at 11:45 and travel to N. Riverside by noon to set up for concert
Perform concert at N. Riverside
Load buses at 1:15 and return back to FHMS at 1:30. Check into classes at 1:45pm




Schedule for Wind Ensemble Winter Tour – December 9th

December 9th Basswood Elementary School 8:45am concert start time
***Please drop off your children to Basswood on Friday morning between 8:20 and 8:25am, in their black concert dress uniform.
Students will be allowed to wear Santa hats and they will be allowed to
Decorate their instruments for the concert
Travel on KISD school bus to Heritage Elementary School
Heritage Concert will be at 10:25am
Load buses at 11:15
Travel to Cici’s pizza at 11:30am (bring 7.00 for lunch at Cici’s on Basswood)
Load buses at 12:10am
Parkview Concert will be at 12:30
Travel back to FHMS on KISD school bus at 1:15
Arrive and unload buses at 1:30
Check into classes at 1:45pm

All Region Clinic and Concert information
WHEN: December 10th
Drop your child off at Central High School
9450 Ray White Road
Keller, Texas

We will go to Double Dave’s pizza for lunch on a KISD school bus at approximately 11:30am. Students will need 7.00 for lunch. Students will then return back to Central HS at approximately 1pm to finish their rehearsal. Parents will pick up students at 4pm from the rehearsal and take them home to change clothes and to have dinner.
All students will return back to Central HS by 6:30pm for the evening concert.
Students will wear their FULL BLACK CONCERT DRESS UNIFORM.

Your child is competing in the Keller ISD District Honor Band contest on Saturday. The contest will be held at Hillwood Middle School. Your child received his or her time and group number last week and they should have a map and a packet full of information in their binder. Students received a new practice chart for the new 6 weeks and there is one attached to this email (just in case)

Students are working on earning MEDALS in band class. They have a pass off sheet that must be filled out by November 1st. Students can pass off these lines / songs/ scales during class on certain days, and before or after school.
