September.....

25......A Night with the Regiment
Dinner and meet High School band and students march and play with HS band
Tickets will be sold for dinner prior to this event

October
9…….Middle School Band Night with the Fossil Ridge High School Band FRIDAY NIGHT report to the FHMS band hall by 5:45pm

17…..All District Band Try-outs
@Hillwood
8-2pm

29………. All City band Rehearsal and Concert
(for the students who try-out and make the band)
During the school day
@Central HS
8am-3pm Rehearsal
6:30pm Concert


November
7…..All Region auditions
at Crownover Middle School in Denton
A bus will leave FHMS at 7:00am
Contest begins at 8:30am
Parents will pick up students from Denton after students call to notifying you that their audition has completed


December
10…..Winter Band Concert
at Fossil Ridge High School

12…..All Region Band Clinic and Concert for anyone that makes Region Band
at Timbercreek High School

January 2009
30…Practice Marathon
9 – 1
1:30 – 3:45 Fun time at Incredible Pizza
$15.00 total for all you can eat
pizza buffet and a $10.00 game card
Buses will take us to Incredible Pizza
Parents pick up at FHMS at 4:20pm

9…..Pre-UIL @ Timbercreek High School
Probably during the school day

(Sandy Lake will be in March – date is not determined yet)

Northwest High School

April
14 and 15….Percussion Bash @FRHS
(Dress rehearsal on the 14th and performance on the 15th)

May
5 6 or 7……Murchison Band Contest

6 7 ……..Beach Within Reach contest (Honors II)

13 …..Spring Concert @Fossil Ridge HS

….Solo and Ensemble Contest

Events not yet scheduled……………..

*Pep Rallies are during the school day from 2:30- 3:30pm
*Sectionals are once a week, every week of the school year from 3:404:20 pm or from 4:25- 5:10 or from 7:45 – 8:20am – We will determine this schedule the first week of school for all instruments in Honors 1 and Honors 2.
*Special Rehearsals before UIL
*PTA music presentation
*Sectionals are subject to change in December. Schedule will not be the same in the spring semester for most sectionals.

Please put these dates on your calendar as soon as possible to avoid any conflicts.

Please avoid doing major dental work before a
concert or a contest, if at all possible
